To all my amazing clients,
I’ve rewritten this a fair few times and whichever way I read it back, I’ve realised this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but please take a moment to read it.
As some of you may know, I have been involved in a couple of other projects away from hairdressing and during the COVID-19 lockdown have had some time to really reflect on everything. I have been in the hairdressing industry since the tender age of 14! Throughout that time I have meet some absolutely amazing people, some of which I still see now, and some of you have become like family. I honestly feel so lucky to have met you all.
During the last couple of months we have obviously not been able to work within our industry in any capacity, so it’s given me some real quality time with Amy and the children, and with that it also made me realise that I have been doing the same thing for a long time.
I have more than ever thoroughly enjoyed having weekends off, not working late nights and not having a backache at the end of every day. I have also managed to press on with my other projects and have got them to a point whereby they will need more of my attention. So I have made the hardest decision, but I have decided I will not be returning to hairdressing or Jimmy Chop Chop on any level.
I am so proud in all I have achieved in the last 13 years in owning the business and have had the most amazing experience, but sometimes you have to make a move and one that you truly believe is right for you. I am selfishly looking forwards to taking the boys to football training on Saturdays, being at home to put the kids to bed and putting lots of new energy into my new projects.
Right now, the salon is in the strongest position it has ever been in, we have the best team of stylists I have ever had the pleasure to work with and in Toni, a partner that is passionate about the industry, but more importantly she completely loves Jimmy Chop Chop.
So, with this in mind, I am asking for a favour. Please keep supporting the salon. Toni and myself have worked too hard over the last few years to let you all go. We have been carefully selecting stylists that we believe will be suited to look after you (all of which are miles better at hair than me) and if you find maybe that it doesn’t feel quite right, speak out, tell Toni and she will make sure that you will be looked after.
Well all thats left for me to say is THANK YOU!
You have all helped to make Jimmy Chop Chop the place it is today and THANK YOU for supporting me throughout the years. I love you all and I’ll see you all around (maybe when I'm having my haircut!)
Lots of love always,
